How to get there

Cebu – MayaFrom the Cebu airport take a taxi to the Cebu North bus station and board one of the frequent buses to Maya in Daanbantayan town. The ride takes approx. 3 ½ - 4 hours directly to Maya pier at the northern tip of Cebu Island. Or take an taxi from the airport direct to Maya Port. This is a very comfortable option and saves about an hour travel time.Maya – MalapascuaAt Maya pier porters take your luggage on outrigger boats going to the island. Regular boats leave for Malapascua until 5 p.m. about every 30 – 60 minutes, or soon as the boat is full. Special boat rides are available which is good for groups as these will take you directly to The Cove. After 5 p.m. it may be difficult to cross so spend the night in Cebu City and take the earliest ride to Maya. The boat ride to Malapascua will take 30 to 40 minutes where you dock at Front Beach where you can call and ride bikes or you can pay the outrigger boat extra to take you to The Cove.
